Ahh, what would have been......right now we should be setting up for an amazing community weekend, with Capel Fete-ival & Capel Fete usually hosted this weekend. 😞
Sadly, it's not to be in 2020. The committee is still hopeful of an event in some form later this year, when we are allowed to gather in numbers again, but we're already thinking of ways to come back bigger and better next year 👊
So tonight, raise a glass and toast our wonderful village and parish, which continues to stay united in these unprecedented times. 🥃🍹🍸🍺☕️ ... See MoreSee Less

We are regretfully cancelling the 2020 Capel Fete and Fete-ival. We are determined, however, to bring you a community event in 2020 but as you can imagine, our original dates of 3rd & 4th July may not be compatible with current restrictions. We have a number of exciting ideas in the pipeline - one of which will come to fruition as soon as it's feasibly possible. Stay tuned to our social media channels for updates - Twitter and Facebook - as well as capelfete.com. Stay well - stay at home. ... See MoreSee Less

CAPEL FETE AGM TO BE HELD ON MONDAY 9th MARCH at 7.30pm in the Village Hall, FoG.
The Capel Fete is pleased to announce that the revised AGM date is to be held on Monday 9th March at 7.30pm in the Village Hall. Our email is firstname.lastname@example.org for those who would like to contact us.
As a reminder, we would love as many villagers (and others who don't live in the Parish) who are interested in this important community event continuing to attend the AGM. You don't need to stay for the planning meeting if you don't want to . The only way this event will continue is if we receive new interest in the planning and organising. Some of the current committee are beginning to run out of enthusiasm and energy having been doing it for so long! It is especially important that a representative from each of the village groups and organisations who benefit from the fete attend the AGM. Attendance at the AGM does not mean that you will be roped into joining the committee or attending all the meetings between now and the fete or being cajoled into doing something you don't want to. It simply means that we know you are interested in this event continuing, can share your ideas with us and can help steer us to a successful 2020 Fete (unless of course , you'd like to join the committee, in which case you would be welcomed with open arms! ) ...
